Description
Quantitation analysis of organochlorine pesticides within a specimen. 
Specimens Required
Preferred sample type:
  • GI Contents (10-50 g; including vomitus and lavage washings)
  • Source Material (10-50 g)
  • Liver (10-50 g)
  • Fat (10-50 g)
Other acceptable samples:
  • Brain (10-50 g)
  • Whole Blood (5-10 mL)
Sampling Requirements
Samples should be chilled or frozen and sent with an ice pack.

Collection Container
  1. GI Contents, source material, Liver, Fat, and Brain-
    • a sterile, leak-proof container or bag
  2. Whole Blood - acceptable tube types
    • Lavender Top Tube (with EDTA additive)
    • Blue Top Tube (with K2EDTA additive)
Packing Instructions
Label sample container/tube with corresponding name identifier.
