Description
Detection of Bovine Viral Diarrhea Virus by real-time PCR.
Specimens Required
If less than 12 samples are submitted at one time, ELISA testing will be performed, rather than PCR testing.

Collection Container
Contact the laboratory for information on free sampling tubes and BAR codes, which make collection easier and result in faster turn-around times. A pig ear notcher is the best size. Samples can be frozen if you wish to collect them over a period of time and send a larger batch in all at once.
Packing Instructions
Label all samples. Store refrigerated. Ship overnight on cold packs in an insulated container.
