Description
Detection of pregnancy-associated glycoproteins (PAGs) in serum (or EDTA plasma in some species), by enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA), as a marker for pregnancy. Aids in early pregnancy detection.
Specimens Required
Cattle: 2 ml serum or plasma preferred, or 3-5 ml whole or clotted blood.
Sheep and goats: 2 ml serum preferred, or 3-5 ml clotted blood.
Water buffalo and bison: 2 ml EDTA plasma preferred, or 3-5 ml EDTA blood.

Serum: Glass or plastic tubes with no additives, e.g., red top tubes, or serum separator tubes.

Special Instructions
Samples must arrive at WADDL by noon one business day before the scheduled test day to be included in the next day's run. Samples that miss the deadline will be held until the next scheduled test day.
Excessively hemolyzed samples are not acceptable for testing.
Serum may be required if requesting other tests on the same sample.
