Description
Unstained positively charged/adhesive slides are acceptable specimens. Minimum of 3 slides per test requested.
The test identifies subfamily A cytokeratins (present in simple and stratified epithelial cells) in tissue sections using a monoclonal antibody (AE1/AE3). Test results are used in conjunction with histpathology to more definitively diagnose neoplasms of epithelial origin.
