Description
The CD20 epitope is acquired late in the pre-B-cell stage of maturation and remains on the cells throughout differentiation but is lost at the plamsa cell stage.

Unstained positively charged/adhesive slides are acceptable specimens.  Minimum of 3 slides per test requested.

The test identifies CD20, a polypeptide of B-lymphocytes in tissue sections. Results of the test are used in conjunction with histpathology to more definitively diagnose lymphosarcomas and leukemias of B-lymphocyte origin.
