Special Instructions
Reproductive samples from cattle, for the isolation of Campylobacter fetus venerealis, require careful handling due to the limited viability outside the host.
Special transport media such as Clark or Weybridge media must be used for reproductive samples. Submissions not fulfilling these requirements will not be tested. Weybridge media is recommended and can be purchased from Wisconsin Veterinary Diagnostic Laboratory, telephone 608-262-5432.
