Description
Tests kidney or ovarian fluid samples from fish for Renibacterium salmoninarum using a polyclonal antibody-based ELISA. The result is an optical density with result categories of "Below Low" (< 0.100), "Low" ( 0.100 - 0.199), "Moderate" (0.200 - 0.499), and "High" (>= 0.500).
Specimens Required
- Fresh or frozen kidney (individual)
- Fresh or frozen ovarian fluid (individual)
Sampling Requirements
Samples are collected from individual fish using separate instruments to collect each sample.

Sterile polypropylene tubes with leak resistant caps.
Packing Instructions
Sample tubes should be packaged in plastic zip-top bags to prevent moisture entry and reduce likelihood of sample-to-sample contamination. Ship chilled in an insulated cooler with ice packs.
