Description
Typically used when an additional cell line is required on top of the two-cell line Blue Book style virus panel. 

For example, if Largemouth Bass Virus (LMBV) testing is requested in addition to standard Blue Book virology testing. 

To detect any filterable, replicating agent including, but not limited to: Epizootic Hemotopoietic Necrosis Virus (EHNV), Infectious Hematopoietic Necrosis Virus (IHNV), Infectious Pancreatic Necrosis Virus (IPNV), Viral Hemorrhagic Septicemia Virus (VHSV), Oncorhynchus Masou Virus (OMV), Infectious Salmon Anemia Virus (ISAV), Spring Viremia of Carp Virus (SVCV), and Salmonid Alphavirus (SAV) by cell culture. 
Specimens Required
Sample type can be dependent on local regulations and/or fish size/age. Sample types include, but are not limited to the following: kidney/spleen, viscera, pyloric caeca, mid-sections, whole fry and/or ovarian fluid. Consult local regulations or the laboratory for specimen requirements.
Sampling Requirements
Sample moribund fish preferentially; thereafter, select healthy fish randomly. Dead fish are not sampled (postmortem contamination). Sample brood stocks at spawning, and older fish preferentially.

Collection Container
Submit tissue samples in Whirl-Pak bags; ovarian fluids should be collected in tubes with leak-resistant caps.
Packing Instructions
Place samples in a sealed plastic bag to prevent moisture entry and sample-to-sample contamination. Ship chilled in an insulated cooler with ice packs.

Special Instructions
Submission of up to 5 fish per sample pool for virology testing recommended.
